Just thought I'd point it out. One year ago was when we first started open recruitment, began forming a community.
It's a good time to look back at what we've achieved in the period since then:
- We've survived! I'd estimate over 90% of guilds never last a year, never mind those that don't have a game to bring them together. This in itself is one hell of an achievement.
- We've got a solid team of roughly 20 long-term core members that are likely to be with us for a long time. Yes, we've lost some great people, a consequence of our high standards, and the difficulty therein for people in juggling real life. But more importantly, we've retained some of the most talented people I've ever known, a fact that I'm only just starting to appreciate now that I've been able to see a few people in action in our WoW guild (and I hope to see a lot more people there in the near future, to the end that we can start raiding!)
- We've grown incredibly quickly as a community (not in terms of numbers). Perhaps the one great advantage of not having a game, we've been forced to discuss other things, which I believe has been very beneficial. I can honestly say I know quite a section of the guild reasonably well, and I believe you guys know me quite well, too...and certainly aren't afraid to stand up to me!

So...thank you all for your enthusiasm and dedication...and most importantly your patience.
About half a year till release. Hell Yeah!
